SAMPLE DATA COLLECTION SPREADSHEET
SECURITY
Security is of the utmost importance to us.
The only data we collect is the average 20m run scores of individual classes.
Classes will have their own unique class name.
We do not store information relating to individual class members. That is a school responsibility and to that end you can use a spreadsheet that will enable you to score the data securely within your school IT system, pretty much the same way as you enter marks into a digital marks book. Of course you may wish to tailor your marks book to do this.
Here’s a sample spreadsheet. Once registered all you have to do is enter your class name, the date and the average number of laps they have achieved. Create as many columns as you think will be enough for a year’s supply of results.
To reiterate, the only information you need to enter into the record data base is the unique class name and the average number of laps (to 2 decimal places). You’ll be able to see how you class ranks against other classes of your class’s year level.
You’ll end up with a very useful data base of the aerobic fitness of your classes.
