WELCOME TO THE 20m run
AEROBIC FITNESS CHALLENGE
The schools 20m run aerobic fitness challenge is an educational and motivational program designed to promote regular Daily Physical Education in schools and vigorous physical activity in particular.
WHAT DOES THE 20m RUN AEROBIC FITNESS CHALLENGE INVOLVE?
Schools and classes are invited to take part in the challenge. All that teachers need to do is
- register classes wishing to take part
- tabulate the average number of 20m laps class members can run in 5 minutes and enter the results.
Classes are free to enter their results as many times a year as they wish.
At the end of 20m run test, teachers can enter how many laps each class member has run onto a spreadsheet that can automatically work out the average number of laps for the class. This score can be recorded in the 20m run results page. The results will be ranked on the 20 run ranking web page – see sample ranking table.
AWARDS
There will be awards for each of the year levels from classes 4 through to 12, in schools in each state and territory. The winning classes will be those who have achieved the highest average number of laps in any one test session during the year.
The awards will be determined on the results of those submitted on or before the 31st of November each year.
